Can anyone tell just by looking which wheels/tires these are? They came with the car I bought.
There's no brand or name on the side walls
, ruling out any that have.

Looks like GRP tires.

As an educated guess probably what was the BRCA control tyre compoung used until recently at UK nationals. GRP have stopped making them. Let's just say I was not a fan of them...

Thanks! I wanted to make sure I didn't buy the same set twice. Will shop for 571/572, as I read a lot of good things about it both on asphalt and carpet, and not planning to race yet so don't need control tyres.
Shopping for the schumacher premounts because they're cheaper than buying the tires, inserts and wheels seperate, and come ready to go, which is strange? Hope they do well, as read some that had problems with the premounted ones.

The Schumacher premounts use crappy wheels and rear inserts are not glued and the overall tire to wheel glue job is terrible. I've lost a race where I was leading until it became unglued. Never again.

So glad I am done with Pits! no more gluing
Volante soft rear and ride GR fronts, destroying my Pit lap times, asphalt anyway. Volante are much more stable as well.

Frank Killam has had the unfortunate experience of a stroke that has paralyzed his left side!! For those of you that know--he was one of the PREMIER 1/5 scale racers in the last 10 years---and came from a 1/12 scale background racing since the 70's!! He's going to get back on the track up in Camarillo with a new Associated F-1 ride utilizing a foot throttle and his right hand works fine -- so off we go with a new twist to racing.
Okay --- Got Franks' transmitter so I'll be test and tuning this Saturday--but a quick run out front says this baby is FAST and SMOOTH!! Once it's tuned a bit it's off to Karlton for the foot throttle peddle!! Then to get Frank back to the track with the car!! You're gonna love it Frank!!

IS any one running the new 2017 Tamiya body not using the side pods? I have a body ready to paint but I dont like cutting the side pods (lazy)

I am, but I'm running it on a t-bar car so I am running the add-on parts.

I am surprised at how big the new 2017 f1 body is compared to my f60
f60 fits inside the 2017. I do not like the straight down on the uncut sides. pods will def look better . I have not decided which to use yet
I will post pics soon

Does that body allow sideway mounted shorties?

Will fit a shorty if you do not use the side pods but will be a little tight side pods push out about a millimeter on each corner
