Just to add.
MANY of the folks that picked up F1 this year (at least in our neck of the woods)are fairly new to r/c all together. They like the scale looks and the tolerable speeds.Handing them a brushless 21 with boost is going to mess up
their day big time.
Since when does slower speed equal boring racing anyway?
Some of the best racing I have seen this year was either F1 or vta.
I think the speeds are good and the racing is tight, just looking for a bit more motor life to keep costs down.
My vote would be for either 25.5 or 21.5 with no boost.
Also, many a folk have smoked a brushless this year due to leaning on the boost juice too much (guilty

Local tracks will do what is good for the track. That I will agree with.

I also race t-car and I have a Tekin. The boost/turbo thing is VERY addictive and fun. I just don't see a need for it in f1 where traction is
already on the low side.

That's probably the most important thing... what's going to keep people coming back and drawing in new people. At the club level it should be fun first, ego second. Save the bragging rights and insane levels of competition for the BIG races! That's where it should be FAST, FAST, FAST!!!!!

I wonder what the big deal about Tekin boost is... Castle MM Pro controllers with C.H.E.A.T. mode came out first....
is it because the Tekin's are smaller?
is it because the Tekin's are smaller?

Not sure.
Everyone fast at my track runs Tekin.
Why rock the boat (and the help from the fast guys).
The software is very easy to use.
Never tried the Castle esc in a 1/10 but
I do use the MMM in my 1/8 and it's a hell of a good speedo.

Limited power options make for closer racing and less confusion and cost for us hobbyists. And +1 on VTA and F1 being fun classes to watch as well as race.

8 days till the TQ UF1 race in Southern California...
And then June 20th were back at WCRC for a UF1 race...
That's a total of 92 points maximum I believe this month alone... so no matter where you are in the series standings, you can make up a lot of ground this month... and also don't forget that the lowest 2 UF1 races will be dropped and 3 lowest Supplemental races will be dropped before the final race late September in Camarillo, which will be an ALL F1 day...

Does anyone know if the F201 and/or F104 bodies & front wings fit the f103?
#1409

Just mounted a F201 body on an old f103 just to get her running. Takes some trimming and rear body mount holes have to be drilled. Front wing also took a little work. Rear wing doesn't look like it will mount at all. Mounting area is completely different. Overall not worth doing if you want it to look good. I think the f104 bods are thinner so that would be a problem although I'm wondering if you use one of the mini lipos and modify the battery straps if it would work. Similar to using the Exotek chassis on the F10. Still not something I'd do if it takes alot of mods.
