My Speed Passion SP1R Prototype with Protoform 2014 body - F1paintlab 2016 Williams Livery (thanks Brad). 3D print parts for all the F1 accessories. (OK, don't ask about why Alonzo is on Williams....thats the only helmet I have right now.)

His car has a 25.5 motor. We do run fans with our 25.5 motors in F1.

I don't run a fan but when I get back to racing I may change my mind. I haven't run 25.5 F1 yet so I'm not sure what to expect.

Interesting. We run 21.5t but outdoor nighttime. We're in Autumn and gear 2.25 FDR... haven't felt any motor fade though, that I know of...

A FAN? LOL.....if you look at the pic closely, I have 2....one 40mm above and one 30mm on the side. Running indoor carpet, small layout with high final drive, without a open motor layout like TC, motor will get HOT very fast.

About to mount the Fenix Gear differential into the TRG's innovative T-bar rear pod design.

Can't wait to test this.

Hey there everyone, I have a bit of a general F1 RC question. I am putting together my first F1 car for my stepdad as a bday gift (it's gonna be a shelf queen) and I am thinking about the wiring I am going to use. I know most of these F1 chassis have very little room for electronics and I was wondering what the smallest gauge wire you guys have used to wire up your motors?

I'm thinking I want to put a 21.5 JUST incase he ever gets an itch to try a race at our local track and that's the motor required. So I'm hoping something like 14ga or even 16ga would be acceptable. But again I'm an F1 newb

Thanks!

16g TQ wire is the best for f1 because the insulation is the thinnest for even better flex to avoid tweaking the rear pod.

I would go for TQ but the color I want is sold out =/. I'm trying to get some white and red wire to go with the F2012 Ferrari livery. So far I can only find the Tekin wire in stock for both colors.
