hey guys i've been trying and trying to setup my serpent f1 but sadly I have lost interest. If you're interested in purchasing it I'm selling it on Ebay. Here is the link...

CRC has just announced their tires now premounted on F1 rims. I'm running a set on Tamiya rims and they work great.

It's not such a big problem because I have a boat load of traction BUT at times too much traction. I traction roll constantly at my local track entering the sweeper. I'm at tq racing in Chino, which is a high grip track. I'm currently on pit shimizu 74 and 75 compound tires.

I've tried to go medium compounds for the front but i'm still getting the same problem. I haven't tried lowering my exponential setting on the remote. Do you think that would help?

Glue the fronts, starting with the outside sidewall. Then do the inside if need, be, and you may need to take the glue just barely onto the tread. Several coats may be required, and kicker will make a coat of glue thicker. The rear may need it too. In the case of the fronts, you may actually start to push with the sidewalls glued. Do not be afraid to dope the whole front tire. Sometimes you need it to get the steering back.

Also,
-lighter side springs
-lighter damper grease/side shock oil
-widen the car
-possibly less camber and/or caster

I ran on the black crc carpet this past weekend and I ran sweeps front soft and medium rear and just put a bead of glue just on the outer edge of the lip. And finished 2nd in the A.

thanks for the input. I did try gluing the sidewalls and partial tread in front but no luck. I recently bought new side springs, rear shock spring, and front springs. I'll give that a try and see what happens.

You may want to remove the steering expo completely. Helps a lot to prevent the front biting. Resolve sensitivity with lowering the the steering DR. I drive with kind of 13 degrees steering lock with 71 no glue or anything on the tires - and the car is awesome. And actually I would recommend larger caster angle..

Very nice, I particularly like the high nose chassis (like the WRC), I've been thinking of doing this configuration too.

What pivots are you using on the inboard of the lower front arms?

Well triple post now lol

Can anyone with a Yokomo YR-10 tell me the outside diameter of the split plastic holder for the balls on the front suspension, I have some in the mail for a project but would like to get some carbon cut before they arrive.

Is there a rule where no rear independent suspension allowed? Must be pan car style chassis?
