Put some rubber tires on it and bring it to RCIv2. Let's see what lap times it can do.

Jimmy and Heng are at 11.9.

+6! Dude, this is awesome, we need a radical new f1 chassis design to shake up the f1 rc world! I personally love the F201 and FGX design for its realism and really don't like racing my F104 because it just doesn't seem real to me. I know the F104-based design is much more durable for bashing races, but rc driving should require skill and not reckless driving ^_^. I'm curious it seems like you are using the fgx/f104 motor layout rather than the f201 longitudinal layout. I can't wait until you finish the car later this month! It's almost the same timeline for real f1 pre-season testing so it would be a nice coincidence to have your car homologated and crash tested for it be track ready by March

Hey folks,

I finally picked up an F1 car after years of wanting to try it. A lightly used XRay from a member here. So as I'm waiting on the UPS man the first thing I want to do is do a new body. Do most F1 bodies fit the Xray alright? Also, are there any companies out there that do good vinyl stickers for the driver? Thanks.

The Protoform 13/14/15 should fit. The Tamiya bodies may fit with some creative trimming. Unless it's a newer Xray with the transverse battery, then the Protoform 13/14 are your best bet.

Has anyone tested the Mon-Tech F1 ETS wings vs the Serpent ETS wings? from the last ETS race, everyone was using mainly the Mon-tech setup....

Protoform when they introduced the new F1 body said the 15 will fit cars with transversely mounted battery if they are the low profile ones. If you use regular shorty packs then it would not fit.

That would be because the serpent front wing breaks just when it sees the track..

Although I have not personally used the serpent front wing, from what I've heard they have 2 versions of the front wing. V1 are the crappy ones which break on contact where as V2 are made of a better material which can handle the beating.
