I was wondering what those end bits on the new wings were for!

It's to hold the brake cooling blowers!!

The new F1 cars are horrible.

Why can't we just go back to the 92 rules with BIG slick tires, wide cars with active suspension and all the other cool gizmos!?!

Bernie and the FIA are runining the sport I love!

This picture shows a development car. The designs of car will change greatly over the coming months. Wait for round 1 and you will all see what I already know. The new cars look great ( Honda I know ).

I like the idea of putting Autopia bumpers with curb feelers on the front of the car. I think it's a step in the right direction....NOT!

I agree with RETROCRX, bring back the cars from the 90's. Wide cars, wide tires, wide drivers (JK), a clean looking fast car. Do I like these late model missiles, no. Do I watch the races, yes. It's F1, but I still think the cars are UGLY

Vyger;

Do you have a starting point you use with your chassis setup wise? Is there a particular combination of chassis plates and tires that seems to at least get you in the ball park? I know from going to the track there are a lot of guys who will use maybe the carbon lower deck, but frp upper, or vice versa.

Also, what diff grease do you use on the balls themselves? And is there any specific reason for this brand choice?

hey guys, think f1 car counts could spring up across country if it was setup as a 15min open qualifying best lap sets grid, then a 6-8min main at day's end (or beginning of 2nd heat)?
sounded like a cool idea to me to get folks out with them but reduce workload, up cool factor and let folks continue on with their TAs, sedans, etc

That's the plan here in the Southeast for the 2009 series to have longer qualifiers and mains. We think it will boost racing with such a format.

Just sharing, thanks. usually 30 minute qualifier (fastest lap), two 15 minutes mains, then one long 30 minute main with pitstop. We run all at the same time, usually 12 - 14 on the grid.

Night race ala Singapore GP style

They are the only 2 cars pictured above that are running the new 2009 spec rear wings. Certainly a lot taller & narrower, aren't they?
