Sorry to jump in here, but I used the SP68 body, and the Tamiya 2012 front wing. I didn't use the Tamiya wing hanger that would normally have the body mount on it. I drilled a centered hole in the wing, and used a regular (CRC) body mount.

I decided on the larger wing and I wanted to try and protect the front wheels. The wing is rather flexable, but in the limited running I have done with it, I didn't notice it rubbing. Tomorrow I am going to run it again on a higher grip track, so that might change.

The nose is fine, but I did put 2 of the tamiya body screws that come with their bodies in the nose to make it a bit more secure. I have had the same body for a year.

On a link car, what would be the result of raising the football on the chassis, pod and link mounting points by equal amounts ?

Would it raise/lower the roll centre.

Would it help/hinder keeping the inside rear wheel on deck ?

Jacko

Leave that stuff alone Jacko!!
Try putting a 1mm shim under front pivot ball on side links. You might like the results.

Many other variables to work with besides rebuilding the whole geometry of the car!! Check out the latter pages of Exotek F1R forum for suggestions on this very topic.

Surprised Mark T hasn't chimed in here!

You are raising the roll center. The weight will move quicker. Might make things worse on the wheel jack but I have not tr it

Looking for ballpark on gearing or rollout for a F104v2 with Pit tires on a medium size carpet track using a 21.5. Thanks in advance.

With a 21.5, you're looking at an FDR of 3.0 or around there.

What are good tires to use front and rear? Large outdoor permanent track? Ride, Pits, or TAMIYA? Part numbers would help too so I can order them. Thanks~!
