Timing advance on the fly as afforded by BL systems such as the Tekin basically obliterate the poor old 540.
From what I have seen they are pretty well matched evenly up to about 7 min... after that, the brushed motor starts to loose some power... I've actually seen a few silver cans blow a 21.5 away... just like you can advance timing on a BL , there is plenty of motor voodoo you can do on a brushed motor... I have a red dot motor that is much faster then my 21.5...
But taking out all the variables... a 540 silver can is pretty damn close to a 21.5

Default Project: Target

Now I already know what you'll all say about this project. I know that the Target car was a Indy car, but I'm gonna transform that Indy into a F1. I think it'll look cool reguardless of authenticity. So here's some pics...1/10 R/C F1's...Pics, Discussions, Whatever...-new43-012.jpg

I think I'm gonna go with a two tone, red & white.

I finished my second RC and first multicolored paint job.
I pretty happy although I missed some blue paint before I painted the body white. Next time I have to be more carful to examined the clear lexan before I apply a new color.
This is an out of the box F104 Pro with Tamiya rubber tires. I just use those for now for pictures.

Sweet pics! Although I don't see your missing blue paint? My buddy just finished the same car. But could you tell me how you got those pics to show up like that, without having to click to see pics?

Blue paint is there but the sun was stronger.
I checked why your pictures show up differently. You use rctech's website for your pictures, while I upload the pictures to my own website. It seems that makes the difference.

I strongly disagree. Take a box stock silver can and a box stock BL, both with the latest and greatest speedo. Not even close. As for massaged motors...no comment.

nice job Sauber, that's a very nice looking car.

I'm looking at doing a race body in white to make it easier to see at night, and this might just be the paint scheme.

Not being rude, but that makes no sence to me concidering we all use r/c tech to put our pics up. By you uploading to your own site doesn't really explain how you get your pictures so big on this site?

I'd say that WAS the case, but with the latest updates a 21.5 is now a 17.5
a 17.5 equals a 13.5, 10.5...etc...

This is why I think 1S is a better recommendation to equate with Silvercans
Before v203 a 13.5 was fairly close, now 17.5 1S is more fair.

Hey guys,
I finally got my stuff together and built a simple website in iweb,
Here is the link
http://www.f1paintlab.com/Site/Welcome.html
It is a work in progress, and I will be adding pics shortly
Most of you have seen the pics, I just have them in one spot now
Enjoy!!!
Nice Sauber by the way
I think the trick with the pics is not to use the address of the thumbnail , I did that a couple of times and had the same problem, the pics showed up small.
I use photobucket to link stuff to RCTech, and when I started pasting the image address in, I had no problems

its the pits when you cant just download a manual from the net :[ would have cleared up alot of questions

does any one find the f103L handles Better than the STD F103 ?

many thanxs Dave
Most of the manuals are linked from Tamiya at the bottom of the D-drive web page. You can save them and down load them. The F103L isnt there but it not that much different.
The F103 and F103L handle about the same, but the L is bigger. I use mine on and large banked oval.
