I ran into this before when I was testing wings a while back with the 3r front wing . So I'm going to try and retrofit the f60 wing and see what happens, if it doesn't work then back to the old faithful f60 bodyset! Glad I didn't decal the 2012!
So I wonder if possibly the issue with the Sweep tires might have been the body?

I am working on the decals for the F138, hopefully they will be ready in the next week or so, the Lotus E21 as well

No, yesterday was the first time i ever ran the 2012 body. And i actually got the tires to somewhat work but they just were not fast.

Why not just put 2 squares of lead on the car to re balance it? I have run up to 21g in the wing to keep the nose down on carpet.

Tried that, helped but front still had a tendency to "DIG" in the front. On a scale this should work but on the track its not an even balance. having weight on the nose and in front of the nose makes a hug difference in handling. Went through this on the FGX where the nose weight and castor plate weight did not handle the same. Second issue is the wing sags really bad, i tagged a flapper and then the wing drug on the ground and the only way to fix that is to add more weight via a brace which is counter productive! I am not ditching it just yet and will try a few more things before i "decal" a body!

Also keep in mind I am on Asphalt, we do not have the same rear grip as you carpet guys!

I used (and kinda liked) the HPI DBox. They gyro plugs in-between the servo and the receiver, no need for any transmitter adjustment.

Yup.

edit: I should add that they are illegal for some F1 race series.

yea but does the car really need it? With good tyres and a good setup and with some self control the cars drive like they are on rails :S

dont know just saying. Interesting.

Not necessary, and it won't make you a better driver, but it may help stabilize the car in lower traction conditions. There was a video on youtube that showed someone testing it. Try searching Zen F1 Gyro. It should come up.

I saw the video, the guy was driving it out of control deliberately. turning early, over powering. All that stuff a gyro wouldn't fix. All of a sudden his hitting the apex on every corner and smooth lines.

I just don't see it helping to be honest. I'm sorry.
