TC's are heavier, 4WD, full suspension chassis. They have a bit more to work with when it comes to hooking up rubber tires on slippery surfaces.

And F1 is COOL, tc's not so much........

At TITC (RC Addict, not a "small" track) we ran 17.5 blinky with rubbers... and the cars were more than fast enough, faster than the FF's with 13.5's on the straight at least. Any more motor is simply not needed.

Can you tell me the right final ratio for this?

How long is RC Addict track, and that straight part? My local track has a 60 meters long straight and about 300 meters long. I also think that track in Thailand has a very good grip.

I am using a 17.5T motor with no boost but on foam tires in my F104 with 93/29 (aprox FDR =3) , not bad but not as fast as I would like it to be.

Thanks.

For those that can run 200mm cars in their local series. Shipped price is for US only. Finished 6th in the UF1 2010/11 Winter series (when 200mm still allowed) and won about 80% of the LeMans class races in the 2011/12 UF1 Winter series.

Hey Ed, if I make the next TITC I'll actual be there trying to race. Classes Mod and F1.

Around the two local tracks I've been setting up with a Trinity 7.5T 1cell motor on 1S for the up and coming open F1 event. It's quiet controllable in practice but before race day I'm going to fit a ordered 8.5T.

Is this a spoiler? Be careful what you post about real F1.

I strictly stay away from RCtech until I get to watch the race for myself because of this.

Default ABC Hobby Diffusors

hi everyone
I am Max from germany, I own a Tamiya F104 Pro and i got a question about diffusors like the ABC Hobby ones.
Can you tell me if they work respectively you can feel the additional downforce? The wind tunnel says that it woks, but i cannot believe the effect on the car.
I am quite fascinated of the look of those in comparison to the original diffusor on my Tamiya F104, but i don't want to buy those in Hong Kong an pay lots of money for shipping if they don't work.

1S lipo? Who was talking about 1S lipo?, TITC 2012 F1 was with 6 cell 1.2V NiMH or 2S lipo 7,4V I think... and 17.5T with blinky ESC

No worries, not a spoiler. Mine is an r/c race. Next time I'll leave out the GP part and just stress it is an r/c event.

Correct. First part TryHard will understand and then separately I was saying 8.5T 1S is more than controllable.

Yet the pic shows the top 3 racing suits as well as the track. Unfortunately I saw this prior to being able to watch the race. Buzzkill.
