Had our first of the Texas state series race today
http://www.texaseos.net/index.php/ve...m-hobby-center

Ended up winning the 15minute main by 3 laps! The BrushlessHobbies 120 esc was flawless and SUPER smooth. As well as my Fantom motor. Its nice to have sponsors specifically for F1!!

Chassis was my new proto V2 FQ, which has lots of updates!
All aluminum screws, titanium traction bars, servo wire cutout G10/FR4 material. by far the best car out there today, vids coming soon!

Not quite. Mardave were the first R/C car company in Europe starting with circuit cars. They created a basic cheap oval racing chassis that's used in several classes from from bangers right up to a circuit racing chassis.

Banger racing is just oval racing, the highest number of laps wins the race just like any other race. Contact is allowed, well more or less inevitable when there's so many cars on track, and marshalling isn't allowed so while there is a lot of skill in being able to look ahead to avoid accidents there is still an element of luck involved which means those who take their racing seriously just won't get it. We run full size bangers in exactly the same way using old scrapped cars.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2cRcodzW6o
Destruction Derby is what you mean by racing until one is left running, usually this is an end of the night race as cars get damaged, but parts for the cars cost a fraction of most other companies.

The same cars also make a very good value circuit racer with a change of body http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNkqnfAoBGw

All their cars are 1/12th scale and the F1 is just a new body for the Mardave circuit racer chassis, with the kit version having a chassis cut to fit the body and a new bumper to fit the wing. It just creates another option for the many clubs which only race Mardave cars. It was never intended to compete with 1/10th F1s.

Mardave, people either get it or they dont. Fun little cars with interesting body shells. I enjoy my Caterham.

Hello, the 2012 Tamiya Asia Cup finals was held in Korea. Team Philippines wins F1 concours for 3 straight years. A three-peat yeah!

update on the floor. The previous design was not working very well. The funnel idea wasnt working at all and the rear diffuser was working as it did previously. So I decided to cut the funnel off and try this out.

Immediatly the car feels as i expected the funnel to have been. Very stable at high speed even if i remove the rear wing completely. and flow does show that its working. It has no spillover like the funnel did, meaning its not making high pressure anymore.

If anybody is interested in a barely used Tamiya F104 Pro w/ upgrades and spare parts, be sure to take a look at this one.

Default Question about esc

Hello.
I'm looking at this esc.
http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/produ...yword=&pg_no=1

Is this something I can use on my f104x1?
I have hpi drift meister 17t motor and wondering if I can use regular 6 cell sport pack battery.
If anybody used this, can you share your experience?
Thank you.

I haven't used it but, I recently contacted Team Associated customer service with the following question:
Icurrently own and drive a 1/10th scale Formula 1, the 3 Racing F109 (similar to Tamiya F103), in my rc club. We run on a carpet oval (winter) and asphalt tri-oval (summer) and I plan running a parking lot road course at a different club as well. My question is this, which one of your ESC's will work best for me?? I am looking for one with a forward/brake only, NO reverse, since it can not be used in my club's racing.
I plan on using a 2S LiPo and the tamiya silver can 540-j johnson type motor, which is the only motor allowed in either club.
Thank you

I got the following response with a link:
Thank you for contacting Team Associated customer support. Here is a link to our website that has a bunch of brushed speed controls. I would recommend the Quantum Super Sport ESC.

http://www.teamassociated.com/lrp/pa...trols/brushed/

I suggest checking out the link.
