Guys

Speaking of F103 Tamiya foam (sponge) tyres.... Some one is having a chart of them?

From softest to hardest? It will be helpful!

Thanks

Love the camera views, especially the rear view.
Makes me want the FGX, but worried about the front end ?

You know once you do the link front end conversion they get pretty tough, the full front impact can still take out a top deck, but that will be cured with Troy's stuff. Rubbing along a board and catching an axle can still result in a total blow out but thats a whole lot rubber tire hanging out there...

I have the Version 1 piano wire reinforced upper and lower arms still on mine. It's been traction rolled off the track into a wall on our sweeper a few times, not that I'm proud of it, and the arms haven't broken(there is a weird jump in the track if the wrong line is taken). With the Troy's new front uppers, I'm guessing that will really increase durability.

Regarding that same spot on the track, my F103 on foam does the same thing at the exact same spot. It looks like a little hop, then it comes down, overloads the outside tires and instead of pushing or diffing out... Wham! We can find the bad spot. So I take a wider line and blip the throttle as I pass through. Seems to work.

A project getting close to completion. A couple of little things I did't get quite right, but I'm happy with it. Just need to complete the helmet and tidy a couple of things up and right to go.

I painted up a lotus 107b like that a while back, wanted to do that to a modern body. It looks even better than I thought it would. Excellent job.

F104W GP is for real. Rumor part is when it is to be released. Supposedly this week, I have a buddy that has one on order.

The HBR set that came with the 15th Anniversary if you can get hold of them for the F103.

All the F104 foams work quite well on carpet, just stay away from their rubber tires for carpet you'd need Shimizu or Ride tires for that.
