Idk.
my front hards are developing quite the tire tread on the inside. Guy at the shop said just keep running em.
I think I have a set of rear mediums. Ive yet to try or even break in and run em for awhile. Sauce em ect.
I did see someone with a heat gun today at the track. Something for maybe $20 on ebay or Amazon even if not accurate but give a good idea of temp on track and tire wise isn't prob a bad idea.
gonna get my new f1 going here soon and need a fan for the motor. That's my priority.
f1 Tqs Tomorrow and race day Sunday! Excite!
Lol.

The biggest reason we switched the wing back to being mounted to the pod was to control the weight a little more. One of the issues with mounting the wing to the chassis was by the time you loop the mounts around or you path it over the top of the motor you have one of the heaviest pieces of your car as far away from the CG as possible. As others have mentioned, the axle can also hit the wing mount, on my Exotek under extreme shock compression the motor would hit the wing mount, my Roche would hit the wing mounts under the axle on extreme cornering. The wing does have enough aero to put a load on the center spring (chassis mount) when going down straights and some high speed corners but that's about it. When I switched to the pod mount design I didn't notice a change in the rear traction that much, if at all. What I did notice was the lateral movement of my chassis became a lot more stable. Without the wing throwing it's weight around on every corner the car felt more planted. The farther away from the CG the more of an impact an object has on weight transfer. I know some people will say, "but the wing is now an unsprung weight", while that is correct the car felt way more stable after this change.
A couple things to note: 1. I race only on black carpet. 2. This might not be the best change for outdoor racing as lower grip scenarios traditionally encourage more weight transfer and roll.

Wing on the pod is not great for any bumpy track, no matter how you tune it. The first time I ever ran a chassis mount wing was on a bumpy carpet track, and the effect was obvious on a part of the track that had several bumps in a row. It went right through without much drama. Any time the pod gets disrupted by a bump, the same weight you are getting off the chassis is now waiving in the air 50 or 60 millimeters above the car, attached to the pod. It's probably no problem on a perfect sub floor.

New to F1. picked up a crc wtf1 kit, just wondering on there kits I know it takes a mini servo and mounts up kinda weird, What do you guys recommend for a servo for this kit? I read something about chopping off the ears on one side?
and whats a good servo saver for this car?
thanks for any help.

A page or 2 ago I posted my f103 and the front tire wear. Here's more. Lol.

I did finally do a front tire change prior to the 3rd mains. I wanted to avoid shredding a tire during a race. Maybe ill finish it off during a practice run. Lol.

New front tire vs. Old used tire

What tire sauce and prep method are you using on these tires? You maybe using something too aggressive which is causing the excessive wear. Also, consider using a softer front spring to limit the front tire wear. The Team Powers were our spec tire the last 2 seasons and ROAR asphalt nationals and can be fickle to work with.

I think maybe I was running too much camber.
that was on my f103. We will see what the x1 does as far as tread.
I usually clean with simple green. Wipe it. Than i use trinity monster fingers. I let it dry on or bake on. No heat just sun.

Also that was mostly with tamiya gold springs.
I switched the fronts to silvers.
the x1 had silver I think xray springs.

What Bullfrog said. Also maybe clean the tires with the tire tweak.

I use the tire cleaner from Trinity also. Some use simple green or other things . But rotate every run.

Anyone heard if any of the manufactures are making a up to date f1 body style? 2022 2023 design?
