Default F1 Mirrors, Halo and misc body details

Did anyone ever come up with where to get detail accessories for the F1 bodies? Someone asked a few post back and I was looking forward to replies.

QCRC in Lebanon Ohio is going to run F1 on our new asphalt track this summer. Its been a big class in Florida and California so hopefully it will take off here. It would be nice to have a bigger one day F1 race as part of our club program. Is there any interest from the Midwest region to run F1 outdoors and maybe we can put something together?

I'm just now getting a car put together to race at Indy RC in Indianapolis, but I'd be interested in maybe making a trip out to race with you all in a few months!

The Best decals that are cleanable with any type of cleaner is RCDecals in UK. He will have the new 2023 decals posted by this weekend. I've used his decals for years.
Question for anyone Springs Front Arms and side springs from XRay- Schumaker. Is there a lbs or what size wire to compair the with CRC springs? I've been asked this question many times but have no answer .

I'm definitely interested (also in Indy). For a large track, will you be running 25.5 or 21.5?

put both springs on a shaft end to end, with a washer/spacer in between. Compress them and see which which bottoms out first.

Hello all
This is my favorite rc class!
think I'm old or behind the game here. Maybe it was popular 5-10yrs ago? Not sure.
Anyways
I got my 1st f1 car!
it's a f103 tamiyo chassis. Think it's the f189 ferrari.model.

Here's the description from the ebay item.
Tamiya F-103 Cassis and Body. Includes the following. High Speed Steering servo, tested-good. LRP speed control (A.I.Runner) NOS- tested-good. Reedy 19 turn High RPM Brushed motor (Tested-Runs fine) Blue Aluminum Motor mount rear bulk head. Carbon fiber rear axle.
New Suspension spring assortment, ). Original Wheels good, foams tires dry. Bruise on front of nose (Included), otherwise body nice. Pinion gear and Deans connectors with motor wires included. . Will ship best way depending on location.

It's a rolling chassis. I'm gonna run threw it and take it to the local shop to get it a radio and such for testing it.
than I'll make it class legal and start.practicing.
I need to find a nice clean Asphalt surface like a large abandoned skate.park lol.

turns out after further analysis that it is indeed a f103 ferrari edition im getting and not a kyosho f189.
itll need a run through and all new components probably. lol. just to get it to spec. + tires and a body....
the foam tires its coming with im guessing are good for carpet runs and such but not asphalt or black top.

Q. Is it possible or even likely my local f1 groups would do a white flag lap with a pace car and have a rolling start like f1 and nascar do?
yellow flags for caution ect...
I've been watching rc racing and seems the fad is to have a staggered stop start... not that it doesn't work or isn't as realistic just a thought and something id like to bring up but nervous if it would even be excepted or acknowledged. lol
thanks and f1 rc on!

Many clubs will perform IFMAR starts in the qualifying rounds so you're only racing the clock, not the other drivers. Each driver essentially performs a rolling start across the line to start the clock when their car number is called. The intent is so slower drivers will allow you to pass without impeding too much and effecting both drivers' qualifying. Real F1 qualifying isn't much different as you are running against your own clock, although your are qualifying on single lap pace rather than total laps and time in RC racing.

Mains are standing start just as you would in a real F1 race.

Well I'm going to tell ya'll what it is: A stop and go system for our F1 cars. It is adjustable for seconds for the lights. if you leave to quick it flashes differently. Now it will be as realist racing as it can be. You can go to facebook for Phat Dad Racing and see our prototype. This weekend is the first big test down there.
