Avoid the option carbon axle, it breaks if you look at it wrong.

Built multiple Xray gear diffs. Haven't had any major leakage issues. At worst, it weeps just a tiny bit, but not enough that it required me to refill the diff often.
The Schumacher gear diff, have built two of them and 0 leakage so far. I feel the design is more leak-proof than the Xray and it is less than half the cost. The main downside is the largest spur is 88T.
The Arrowmax diff, in my opinion, is junk. I have fitted an Awesomatix gear diff to an F1 car as well and it is good too, but a little more work than the Xray/Schumacher diff.

88t is the largest so far. They have an 80t also.

Had a minor crash after a traction roll that even a carbon Xray diff axle would survive better. Wondered why there was a slight wobble on the diff and found out it fractured where the steel part is pinned in.

Which gear differential would you guys pick? Xray seems to be popular but it seems to have a problem keeping the oil inside. Arrowmax seems like the "better" option with its full metal housing and carbon shaft, but theres must be a reason why I dont see them that often out in the wild.
I run on an asphalt track with a ball diff and so far its been great, but would like to give gear diff a try

It just looks....wrong..... without the halo. Not a fan

I might get a spare shaft and see if that fixes the problem or see if it really bends that easily. Silver lining is that there were absolutely no leak with the diff whatsoever which I am very happy about.

That is a bummer to hear you bent the axle. I heard of another who bent the stock steel axle. I haven't bent mines....yet...

Good thing my friend is going back to UK for a month for Christmas and he said he can help me get parts, and replacement shaft arent too expensive. I just hope its a one off incident. Not really viable if I have to replace the shaft every time I roll the car.

Got to get softer wheels to absorb some of the impacts and save the axles...
