If I recall correctly, a guy in South Korea or Japan made this as a one-off chassis. I remember we were all overcome with the vapours when the pics were posted, and were all disappointed to find out it wasn't a production car.

I believe it's because in the ROAR rulebook F1 is considered a pan car, and pan cars are supposed to have a solid axle, now CVD's like a touring car. That would be my guess anyway.

When the orginal F1 class came about there was no independent suspension around as everything was pan cars. They are based on pan cars in the ROAR rules until they are changed.

Nobody is following the outdated ROAR F1 rules anymore. ROAR is based on 235mm wide pan cars of the 90's.

plain and simple no independent suppension for the 99.9%. There was a 1/12th independent chassis in the mid 80's-had one but could not run it anywhere. It was a piece of junk!. Have fun whatever you run.
