Anyone coming to ROAR nats? The F1 class is just myself and one other person right now.
The Jackson track in New Jersey is awesome to race on, VHT spray with plenty of grip and curbs. Would be a shame to not have a F1 class because only 2 people sign up!

I don't have my own car yet. But I want to buy one for myself. Which model should I start with? What do you think? This is an interesting thread. I really like your photos and explanations. If anyone wants to sell a car. Let me know.

CRC !

a little heads up for anyone with a CRC F1. I just purchased the new Montech/XRay F1 22 body. It is narrower and the holes for the side body mounts don't fit right unless you bend the body mounts. Or you can get the CRC piece #3377 and put a spacer underneath it so the batter will clear. It also will help keep the battery in place. It brings the mounts inwards and easier to mount . You'll also have to cuts some of the rear of the body off as it will hit the rear wing mount. Now it's time to paint my new body.

All the modern cars are good. Roche, x-ray, CRC exotek. Vbc is a bit dated but very capable. Just pick a chassis that your local hobby store carries or can easily get parts for. What do the local guys use, start there.

The exotek car is way ahead of the game, there's a reason they don't last more than 1 day on the for sale forum. Their rear pod design is unmatched and generates a ton of rear grip. I have a Roche Evo 2, I like the car a lot, the car is extremely durable and it's easy to setup with all the inserts, great car to learn on and the kit comes with almost everything you'll ever need minus a couple springs.

David Ehrbars new car... no more Serpent
nice use of leaf springs.

I guess he's coming out with his own car?

He might, but I doubt it. AFAIK he's still with serpent and the car still uses a lot of serpents parts right now, so it might be the next SF5. I guess he just want to expand his design company and open his consultancy services to other manufactures...who knows.

It does look like a serpent . I've seen that upper A- Arm before. We'll see?

I thought he was only under contract from Serpent before and now no longer connected with them? (with the SF4 being his last full design).

BP SHADOW, impressive fleet. I've just discovered your range of decals! What paint did you use for the Alpha Tauri AT01? I'm planning to do this livery on a 1/10 buggy. Do you have a dimensioned image I can use to plan the layout?
Props to hkbruin, excellent work, especially with the customisation. Thanks for answering my comment on your youtube video! Unfortunately rustoleum midnight blue isn't available here in Australia.
