Hi Mike

just a few questions;

What motors are you running, i have two 19t, corally runs at 45mmpr and the CP runs at 55mmpr.

What tyre sizes are you going to run? This will dictate the pinion/spur combo needed.

Usually i run a 88t spur for 19t..

If you have calipers, measure in mm the height of the rear tires. That's needed to determine roll out.

( spur X rollout )/ ( tiresize X 3.14 ) = pinion

Mike
For rollout on direct drive cars:
r = t * Pi * p / s

t = tire diameter
Pi = 3.1415926535897932384626433832795
p = pinion
s = spur
r = rollout

Ok, this is what i got right now, Tires=48mm , Spur=96t ,Pinion=24
please check if i did it right:

(48mm x 3.14) x (24 x 96)

(150.72) x (2,304)= 35mmpr

48 * 3.14 = 150.72 * 24 = 3,617.28 / 96 = 37.68mm rollout

Or go to www.gearchart.com and make a rollout chart.

I found this on the 1/12 thread and printed it off. Should be very useful in tuning the car at the track.

you don't want to be using a 96t spur for 19t brushed, get yourself an 88t spur, this will help you get the correct mmpr
