That's correct, I saw these at the hobby show and most of the difference is in the endbell design. The brushes are obviously different and hit the comm at an angle, but the commutator design itself is the same that we're used to.

Hopefully they will perform as good as they look. Wonder how long it will take them to put this technology into 19t and 27t spec motors (if ever).
I just want black over purple

I beleive that ROAR's motor limit for sedan is a 10 turn, therefore, to make a sedan motor less than a 10 turn is not really necessary. Besides how many people can really drive anything under a 10 turn anyways, and drive it well.... hmmmmm.

Well at the track I race at we run no motor limit 4 minute mod sedan. You can run down to a 6 -turn and still make run time. If I get one I would want at least an 8 and maybe a 7.

Erik R.
Most tracks don' t have a motor limit, my point is that at sanctioned events (Reedy TC for example) the lowest wind you can run is a 10x1.

That's all I'm trying to say. Run what you like, I pretty much always do....

Word on the street is that the Orion website is slightly incorrect. The black endbell motors will be the onroad versions (6-12 Turn) and the blue endbell motors will be the offroad version (10-16 Turn).

If I remember correctly, Joe said that the fan was for demonstration purposes only. Showing how it could potentially be used...
