I love the old cars, and they can do pretty well. I have my old Revolver that if 1/12 takes off here I will dust off and run.

Keep the old cars out there, they are just so much fun and that is what it is all about.

Here it is, "as raced" yesterday.

It was competitive as-is (in his capable hands) and with new tires and body I know he'll be pushing the guys up front. It was an eye-opener for more than a few "gotta have the latest or I'll be off the pace" guys out there.

that's pretty cool! I was hope'n you wouldn't get discouraged by the ney sayers

where'd you find tires or should I say donuts?

Come to think of it you could probably put the IRS or Associated Dynamic front end in there for pretty cheap.

I'm going to get the $5 CRC threaded front axles, and I'm going to try the T.M. premounts since they'll fit the 2-bolt rear end.

I want to do as little modernization as possible to the chassis -- half the fun (probably most of the fun, actually) is seeing how competitive we can make it in nearly-original form.

Just noticed the SRS sticker on the wing, did your buddy race there back in the day? That was where I raced back in the late 80's.

I've done that to my pan-car too (a RC10L), but I've just restored it, not racing with it. It's nice to see it all brand new (again ) and remember the first time I got it (when I was 8).

Yeah, he did as well. Maybe you've been on track with this car before!

That's awesome. I don't believe you used those old dried out tires. You better put some suntan lotion or paragon on NOW so the tires will be ready for the weekend.

New tires are on the way, hopefully here in time for the weekend. Went for the T.M. Racing ones that will fit both 2- and 3-bolt rear ends. Got the CRC threaded front axles, and I'm painting the new body today.
