Yokomo pan car
 

Have any of you heard of this car? The Yokomo YRX 10? We broke the spur and we cant seem to find a replacement. Will what brand of spur fit?

Most brand spur gears should work. I’d go over to www.towerhobbies.com and do a search for “Kimbrough” or “Robinson” and you should then be able to find what you’re looking for.

The prob is that the spur is in the diff like a reg pan car. We havn't took it apart yet, so how could we know? Are all pan can spurs alike?

Hi guys. Greetings from Malta.

Just got into this thread for the first time.

The picture on the first thread is that of Yokomo's Pro 10 Pan car. I understand they have followed everyone elses example and altered the body mounts to accept a touring car shell.

Associated do it, Corally do it, and Trinity do it. The car pictured is just like the one Masami used to win quite a few big ones with. My son Josh races a Corally C10 Pro 10 car whilst I have switched from one of my own design to an Associated recently.

Central cell mounting has been used by Trinity and Corally on their pan cars and F1 cars for as long as I can remember. It's nothing new in pan cars. In touring cars HPI have now introduced the system with the Pro 3. I designed, built and ran a similarly equipped touring car for my son about 5 years ago, using bits from all sorts of cars, but mainly Schumacher. It was featured in one of the British magazines - I think Radio Race Car, many years ago.
Pan cars are fun, and lots cheaper to run than 4 wheel drive Touring cars, though they are more difficult to drive too. We have also run Formula 1s here in Malta, the car to beat being the Corally. I have sold plenty of Corally F1s and HPI F1s, and it looks like it could be taking off again here.

Can anyone tell me what kind of spurs pan cars have coz touring has those many holes and trucks have no holes...etc. give me an idea what it looks like. thanks and anyone can give me a picture?

They have Yokomo parts

This is a universal spurgear, think this is a corally one, but it must fit on your yokomo. You can use other one's from brands like hpi, robinson kimbourgh,trinity etc.

Topforce is correct. The spur shown is a Corally or similar one.

Virtually all pan car ones are interchangeable. The central holes hold the diff balls.

Topforce, your nick brings happy memories from the past. Some 8 or 9 years ago I had built a fairly special Top force Tamiya touring car for my son to drive. We had it for years. it evolved from a fairly normal Tamiya to a very special special. I still come across bits of it every now and again.

The topforce was an awesome car, when i just started with RC it was to expensive for me, but some older guys i race now with had one. 1,5 years ago i bought some RC stuff from a friend of my who quit the hobby and a topforce was one of the cars. A hlf year ago i gave him away to a friend who's collecting old tamiya cars.

I used to run a Topforce Evolution - lovely materials (carbon fibre, titanium), nice offroad handling, average slippy floor handling, but virtually unadjustable diffs!
