Ive been racing with my same trakpower 4900 for a year now and it still takes great charges and has consistent power all the time.

My 4900mAh 20C Trakpower after 20 charges (always through balancer) is almost useless.Discharge only 3200mAh and without punch.I had the same bad lucky with 3 other Trakpower packs.Other people are very satisfied with these packs,me no.

I cant be bothered balancing my lipos and they are just getting faster

Paul_67 10-16-2008 04:45 AM

It's hard to tell. I have some year old Orions and TraKPowers and they are still going strong with no decrease in performance. And they get used every weekend.

ive been using the same 2 lipo's in my micro rs4 a venom 1250 2s and an eflite 1250 3s for about as long as i remember im pretty sure ive got about 60 if not more cycles on em both they are still performing as if they were new with balancing at every charge of course.

I have a Maxamps 2s 6000mAh pack that is over a year old, gets raced at least one day a week, still giving 100%.

I have 2 Trakpower 4900.

Use them with modified motors in club racing and with Stock 9,5T Brushless in nacional events.

More then 120 cicles each battery and so far so good.

I've had approx 6 months on my Orion 3600's running 10.5. these batts are running just as good as the first time I bought it Used...
I recently purchased CheckPoint 4900's Just because I needed the extra capacity for Mod....

Oh, I balance my lipos once every two to three weeks.

I have a pair of CORE R/C 5000s that have seen constant use this year and are still going strong. I never balance them but check the cell voltages every now and then with a multimeter, they are always within 0.001v of each other, its amazing.

track-attack15 10-16-2008 02:14 PM

I have an orion 3200 2-cell that I have been using every weekend without a balancer and it hasn't lost any performance.

Thats it! Im go'in lipo......as soon as i get $100 in my pocket.

crazy4wdracer 10-17-2008 05:38 PM

I've been using Hecell 4000mah LIPO's for a year now and they are running as good as they were the day I got them. I have had an Orion 3800 Carbon LIPO for a month now and I really like it too.

hmm

I think the Li-Po life not only depends on Manufacturer, but also depends on racer. As we know li-po battery can not overdischarge and overcharge.this is it weak point.

r0adrunn3r 10-17-2008 08:49 PM

My Trakpower 4900 (I have two) are still going strong after 2 years :)
