Unhappy need help with my tc3

i just bought a tc3 from a friend for $80 with 2 batteries 1500 6cell packs prophet quick charger and the car and remote is straight out of the box stock i am upgrading my remote and reciever with one from my old nitros and upgrading my servo to a jr racing srevo but my questions are

1. whats a good motor and speed control setup for everyday play along with
racing on the weekends
2. what are good batteries to use that i can just go buy and charge
3. whats the difference between rubber and foam tires

need help please reply this is my first electric along with first 4wd sedan

1. LRP has a great rage of cheap ESC and motors for bashing.

2. Team Orion makes some good reliable batteries. NiMh and LiPo.

3. I only run rubber tiers, so I couldn't give you an objective opinion on their handling characteristics.

from what I understand, foam tyres are more forgiving and grippier. rubber last longer and are easier to gear with, however.
