Default what speed control to get

im looking to upgrade my tc5 from brushed to brushless. i mainly run stock but do enjoy some 19 turn action every once in a while.

i was thinking like a lrp sphere tc, tekin rs,or the good old gtb.

what do u guys think?

The Losi is a great speed control....... but DO NOT get it if you are using a z1 with synthesized receivers. (does not work correctly, had to upgrade to spektrum) otherwise it is a good speed control, and cheaper then most..... and hooks up to your computer for settings or you can use a programming card......

Tekin RS if you can find one. The Speed Passion comes with the programmer.

+1 for Tekin RS. Tiny, light, and extremely versatile. Add $35 to the price because you really need to have the Hotwire PC interface to unlock its true awesome potential.

Same here. And I prefer the LRP Sphere units.

You, being in SoCal, should get great service either way.

I run the Sphere TC but if I had my time again I'd get the RS Pro Tekin as it can do brushed / sensored brushless and sensorless brushless. The Sphere TC tries to auto detect so it automatically assumes no sensor wire = brushed. As I found, this can be a quick way to blow a 5.5 motor.

Novak GTB. I've had a lot of success, and no problems.

if you have any budget concerns...check NOVAK's web site, they almost always have a good price on some re-furb units too.
