Default Electronics Wiring Help Needed

I have a Bulldog RDC-15 Power supply. I am using it to power a Cobra comm lathe. I installed a Phanton 12v armature in the motor running the lathe. I want to be able to use a rotary knob of some sorts to vary the rpm's of the motor that runs the lathe. I'm not sure what I need here. I believe I need a voltage regulator and some sort of pot or rheostat. Help me out and go into as much detail as possible.

Thank you,

Default bad news

i was looking to do the same, i run the cobra lathe as well with a mod motor for a slave (set at 0 timing). the trick is to use a potentiometer but the slave motor pulls such high amprege from the power supply that it's hard to find a pot that can handle it, when you do find one is $$$$$$$$$$. i heard you can use an adjustable power supply like the train guys do but all them i found were low amps two, plus about $60. i broke down and bought the vari-drive from corba

very sweet, worth every penny

Just get a 55t lathe motor and run a 4 cell pack...
