The stock dogbones have always been super sloppy.

Thanks, I'll look at both. I checked one dogbone, but it looked fine. I'll have to check the other as well as the steering servo.

I have videos uploaded to youtube, but can't post yet because my post count is too low...

I've partially torn down the front end, but haven't had time to finish. Now that I have the number of post needed, here's a couple videos of the problem:

Does this help shed light on my issue? Thanks!

Thats the dogbones and the fact that the cars suspension has no load on it.

It still seems to vibrate with a load. Is this a design flaw of the dogbones? Do I need to upgrade to something else to eliminate this?

In all the 4wd's I have owned I have always put cvd's in the front because of the steering.

Finally got mine together last night, pretty impressed with the parts in the kit. I'm excited to get it out and see how she does.

I ran mine today with the lancia body and hpi rallye tyres. Have a novak havoc / ss 13.5 in mine with 75/32 gearing. Drove
It on a combination of asphalt and dirt It was an absolute blast to drive! it's a refreshing change from spending hours on set ups for my TRF416.. Just put a battery in it and go. Wish we had some snow here in California to play in.

Anyone running 9mm offset wheels on a 200mm body? or if you are running a 200mm body, what offset are you running? This is a 200mm Focus RS with 3mm offset wheels, and 7mm tamiya spacers. I'd like to try 9mm offsets and see how that looks

Hi All, I am looking to get this kit. I have a few questions about it, hope you can help.

1. Can I run LiPo with the stock motor and ESC? I plan to use a ZIPPY Flightmax 5000mAh 2S1P 20C hardcase pack. There isn't much use for an old NiMH battery, I plan to go Brushless at some point.

2. How much run time can I expect from the stock setup with the above LiPo?
I am a heli guy, on helis you fly for like 4.5 minutes... So I hope this will be a lot more.

3. Can this car kinda rally drift with stock electronics? Can it do that with any electronics configuration?

Thanks for now

If the battery you want to use is bigger than a 6 cell Nicd/Nimh stickpack, is not going to fit in the battery box. Tehre are a few Lipos built in that size, perhaps best to get one with corally plugs, as the wires are separate and can be routed independently, otherwise it will be difficult to squeeze them past the driveshaft.

Enough runtime (more than 15 minutes).

Depends what you drive it on. On loose surfaces, you'll have a lot of fun with it. On sticky surfaces, not so much.

Thanks. What will it take this or any other car to act like a real rally car? You know, to be able to make a scandinavian flick/drift on tight dirt? Drift tires are only good for on-road.

Is there any RC car that can do nice drifts off-road?

You really don't want to run a lipo on the stock speed control because it doesn't have a low voltage cut-off point.

Yeah, I plan to use a buzzer that buzzes when the lipo is too low. You can get one for under 5$ on ebay.

I think it all depends on the surface and the DRIVER! Mine flicks/drifts quite well.

Handles like a real rally car???? The highest any real rally car jumps is 4-5 feet. Jump our DF03RA only 15cm and it seems quite boring. Also an average speed of say 60mph over a rally = only 6mph in our 1/10th cars would be totally boring. RC cars aren't real cars.
