Questions?? Advise on my TC4

Hey guys, I'm new to the site. I have been out of the R/C Sport for almost 3 years now. My buddies are starting a Drag Race event at our local staples parking lot. I went and bought a TC4 from towerhobbies. It was RTR. I usta race Indoor carpet 1/10th but im sure there is a different set up for on-road pavement racing. I guess what im looking for is a good set up for my car. What tires should i use for a good hole-shot? What will give me the best traction? I have a spending limit of 400. What can you guys do for me? I also converted the controller and receiver to the R1.

Are you drag racing the car, or is there a road course setup as well?

Medium spings all around with medium wt oil also.
Run some xtra droop up front and very little in the back.
Run the softest tires you can find.
Turn you steering down with you radio.
Run a body that does not enhance steering.
Go fast!

Run some soft foam tires with very little droop and a body that is aerodynamic yet does not enhace steering with a fast brushless setup such as a mamba max or a novak HV max.

Ive been using my TC4 for a year now, drag and street racing. Sell your RTR motor and ESC and get yourself a brushless system and LiPo set up. If you are having problems with unstable and twitchy steering, loosen the front diff so that it tracks straight. Using sorex or foam is great for hot temperatures but you'll soon find out that your stock radials will work best on any condition as long as your running on dusty and unprepped surface.

Happy racing.
