Default 12th scale stock brushless system?????

Switching to brushless this year up at CRC in Rome NY and wanted some outside opinions. Most of the pro level guys at my track, the guys I race against weekly, run the LRP Sphere w/ the novak 17.5. I can get a great deal on the Losi Xcelerion stock brushless system. My question is will this be competitive with the lrp/novak setup. Any input would be great! Thanks

Not too sure on the 17.5 version........several guys ran 10.5 and the LRP here this summer and it performed really good

I'd be concerned about it fitting in the car. Not sure about the foot print but it looks rather tall so it may not fit under the body. Haven't seen one up close though so I don't know for sure.

I believe that if you are running 4 cell stock, you can remove the fan and replace it with a lower profile heat sink...but I'm not 100% on that. There are guys using them at the track, so I don't think height is a problem. It does have a rather large footprint though!

Yeah that's why I went with the Tekin for my 1/12th, much smaller footprint then anything else currently. The new KO coming out looks to be pretty small too.

The Tekin RS or RS pro with a Redline 17.5 would be a very nice fit in a 12th. I know the Tekin RS did very well out at the Vegas race

unless you can afford to not use the 1st brushless system you buy i would recommend learning from other people's successes. just look at which vendors won 1/12th at iic vegas. mod: lrp; stock: tekin. both of these are quality products. i have a lrp comp 2007 and speed passion lpf in my 1/12th -- both are great!

Installed the Losi 17.5 system last night...didn't have time to run it though. I'll let you know how it compares to the guys I race with. Hopefully I can keep up with Whopper, Turd, Dumper, Dager, Rambo and Frankie Figgs!
