Yeah, I only tossed the battery once in my SD. Why? I forgot to secure the strap with a body clip. What did it cost me? Shorted out my battery and fried my Quantum Comp.

I also don't think it's more fragile than a TC3. I'd have to say it's about the same. Maybe a tad more durable.

As for Barracuda shocks, my friend had problem with his shock length. So it seems it suffers the same fate as the SD... although I haven't had shock length problems with my SD.

As for SD flex, I don't really see the problem there either. Infact, alot of racers take out the center brace to add flex to the car. But if you are gonna race carpet, this remains to be seen. Not that it's gonna matter anyways. The tub chassis will be out soon. Randman, weren't you the one that cut the upper deck off to get more flex?

Right now I'm tearing down my friends R2 and rebuilding it. It's a great car. But I did find some things I didn't like. Front wheel bearings are different than the rear wheel bearings. I'm used to them being the same front and rear like TC3, Evo3, SD, and most others. He ended up putting the wrong bearings in the wrong place along with the wrong axles. Luckily I can read alittle bit of Japanese. So I was able to correct all this. Anyone know of a Spring rate chart for the Barracuda springs? Gonna have to do a search I guess. I hope to finish up the car tonight. Maybe I'll get to race it this weekend if the Hurricane don't mess things up around here. If not I'll have to wait til next weekend to try out this new setup I'm putting on it.

Blah blah blah.... let me go surf up that spring chart....

I am the person that cut the upper deck, but got a flex between having and not having the center stiffener, wanted to try that for low traction tracks, but it ended up just not working at all. I really only race at SoCal now, which is a real high grip track, so I need the stiffest car I can get.
