Default Newbie trying to learn about Xpress Pro v.2.1

So I am a total newb to RC, I just built my first kit a crawler from Tamiya. Anyway, at the hobby store a Datsun 510 (Bluebird, I live in Japan) body caught my eye. That was my first car and I had it pretty raced out so I thought an RC version would be cool. The body was by ABC hobbies and they sell chassis too. But they looked kinda cheap. So I found on the net that Xpress mini chassis will fit this body (1/10th scale). I have searched and searched, but can't find any reviews on this chassis. So I did a google search of this forum and found several of them in the for sale section (not sure if that's good or not) and many comments that they are good stuff, but no parts support. Also comments that they may no longer export to the US. But these were posts from 2-3 yrs ago. I am looking at their Pro MRR2 version 2.1 and wanted to know what it performs like, durability, etc. I am not looking to compete, just wanted a quick little car to bash around with. I see they have some company reps on here and since this is my first post, I am not sure if "bashing" of companies on this site is allowed. I am not looking for bashing, just honest opinions of the product, service, etc.

Hi. ABC Hobbies has a kit called the ABC Genetic. It's a nice kit. For Xpress, it's bought over by rcmart.com so it's the so called the only distributor of the spares.

I agree. I think the ABC Genetic is your best option. If you are in Japan then you will have a better chance of finding one than me. Im not sure but I think a Tamiya M chassis car will fit under the bluebird shell.

Good luck.

The ABC is a better quality kit than the new Xpress.

The Xpress has been re-released with a few changes since the original some years ago.

The ABC may look a little old-fashioned but goes very well indeed. You won't be disappointed. The bodies are superb also.

Ok, I picked up the 510 and ABC (Genetic) chassis. I was glad I made the trip down there. Last week they had two 510 bodies left, but only one when I was there last night. They told me this is the last one they are getting. I also opened the box to look at the chassis. I didn't do that last time, just talked to the guy at the store. This chassis is much nicer than he explained to me, so I'm glad you guys recommended it and I got it.

Now I just need a motor, servo and ESC. Any recommendations out there? Something fast
