Default Corally RDX Phi 09

Hi Guys since I haven't come across a specific thread for the new chassis I decided to open one. I just received my new kit yesterday and was wondering if any body out there has any tips or tricks we should follow before starting to build it.

It would be great to have some Team Corally drivers contributing to this thread every now and then.

I'll post some pics and give an update once I'm going through the build process.

Bye

Don't lubricate your bearings with CA glue.

Tip for building, don't use the standard steel balls for your differential, but you the ceramic ones. It makes your diff feel a lot better, and it holds better so you don't have to rebuild it as much as a diff with normal balls. Furthermore ceramic's don't wear out easily so you can race an entire season with just 1 set of diffballs.

Anyone know when upgraded aluminum steering blocks will be available to replace the plastic ones in the kit?

I took some clearer photos of some of the new features and differences, I will post up some more soon.

Diff Bearing holders are now moulded and bulkheads are keyed to the holders

Diff is the 08 Style but now in a gunmetal anodising rather than machined look

Bulkhead now has screw that can be removed for more grip on low grip surfaces, bulkhead brace no longer screws to the chassis and is only a brace between the bulkheads

New moulded front diff bearing holders and raised top deck

Bulkheads are shimmed up? That might become a tweak issue.

It is only one screw that has the shim, all the other screws on the bulkeads do not have this so tweak will not be an issue. It is purely there so can stiffen or generate a little bit more flex.

How do Lipos fit? Does it still have the chassis slots for Nimh?
How does it adjust belt tension?
