anymore opinions on the losi motors? I have a friend who has one (a 17.5) and would be cool to see if anyone else likes em.

It should work fine.. But from experience the GTB offers the least performance from any brushless motor that I have tinkered with.

It's all in the adjustable timing within the esc (and its software) from my understanding, some offer more than others...

be quite honest ever since the tekins showed up around here, all was different and cases for cobalts were still valid. no more. i know some of these guys likely have an order form filled out somewhere for their 21.5 the moment USVTA allows more than the novak. granted some are now goin back to the 17.5/4cell formula with their motors and seeing some validity in using that platform.

Default TEKIN 17.5

Not sure who else has tried these, however I am using the Tekin Redline 17.5 with the RS Pro speed controller. I am still playing with setup with the Hotwire. I am currently running 52mm rollout on a large track.

I am still to experiment with a larger rollout.

Later

Calvin.

The fact of the matter is that way too much emphasis is placed on these motors and not enough on the indivdual driving the car. When you are driving your car through the boards it really doesn't matter how fast you motor is right..

So please stop spending time trying to seek out the fastest motor and spend some quality time at the track driving and setting you car up properly and you may be surprized how "fast" your motor can be.

Yes, I have watched a couple of you drive.
