Default Take Off Tires (RP and CS) Answers Thread

Hey Guys,

Just got in RP30 and more RP36s. Unfortunately we were just a few sets short of filling every single backorder for RP30, so we're out of stock until the next shipment (already on order - waiting for delivery info). We shipped a ton of tires today (in order by volume):

HobbyTown USA Freemont
Superior Hobbies
Jakes Performance
Nitro Toys and Hobbies
Marin RC Cars
Tiny RC
Hayes Hobby House
Nitro RC Chop Shop (and RP30 MINIs!)

We've got a LOT more RP30s coming in the next shipment. We're still in stock on RP30 MINI (Mini Cooper), RP36, and CS27 premounts.

MORE GOOD NEWS:
Many Take Off Hardware items are finally back in stock now as well: Ser-boy servo screws, colored countersunk washers, colored spacer/shim washers, and much more are all in stock.

The world famous RPD plastic Drift tires are back in stock as well!

RP30 MINIs came in (Mini Cooper) and are in stock right now, but I don't think they'll last very long - but more are coming!

Boring rambling to follow:
We'll be building up supply volume over the next few months, in preparation to again go after major races, supply series races, and spec tire tracks. We're working very closely with Take Off and are being very sensitive to their needs as the production volume due to our demand continues to rise dramatically. Please be patient with us as we build back to a level of continual in-stock status regardless of our incoming order volume and upcoming races. Supply from Take Off was almost never an issue in the past, and we look forward to giving the racing community/track owners/big race promoters that comfort level back once again - and I think you'll all agree that it's about time!

During this ramp up - please let your local shops know what you're looking for and how many. We fill backorders in the order that they're received, and as much as I hate to say it, I just don't see significant amounts of RP30 in stock at our distribution office for another month or possibly two. So get on the backorder list and you WILL get tires. I'm expecting deliveries every couple weeks (maybe more often) while we satisfy demand and try to build up stock levels again.

Everyone go out and enjoy those RP30s again - the best race tires in the world are BACK!

Good news and thanks for the update Shawn...I'll talk to Marin or Jakes and make sure I get a set to test out. Thanks for keeping us all up to date!

Nexus racing generally keeps a good stock of Take Off hardaware. We haven't had a chance to talk to them today, but I'm sure he'll get in whatever he's out of stock on very soon.

Has a 2nd batch of newer 1/10 Touring RP30's arrived yet? If so, who did you recently ship them to?

I was thinking of trying some RP's
Currently where i race the tyre every one uses is the sorex 36R with either B or C Medium insert

Can anyone let me know what RP tyres work the same as the sorex 36R temp range?

And do they perform as well as the sorex 36 on outdoor ashphelt in a warm to hot climate.

thanks..........

Next order of RP30s is due any day now.

The list above I believe has ordered again and will receive again, and we've had some new dealers come onboard with orders as well. I'll post a list of dealers with stock as soon as we start shipping them from here.

The thread is called "answers thread"
Or is that only related to the stock levels of this product?

I ran some Take Off RP36s and compared directly to Sorex 36R on the same track, same day. The Sorex's I used were the premounts on Speedmind wheels. The Sorex was slightly faster but they tended to fall off a bit after a few runs. The RP36 was consistent and wear really nicely and I like the tire a lot - but lap times were slower by a couple tenths from the Sorex when they were fresh. The RP didn't fall off at all for me and the consistency was nice. That's just my experience running on medium bite asphault conditions outdoors.

You'll have some more experience running RP30's in two weeks at the regionals. See ya there.
