Default RP36s...

I ran the RP36s last saturday in 13.5. and its DEFINITELY better than the old batch that wore out too quickly. RP30s are in stock so i will test those shortly.

the RP36s reminded me of the "good batch" of RP30s with excellent grip and good wear. im hoping the RP30s will be as competitive as Sorex 36Rs. when compared back to back, i still went faster with the Sorex 36Rs (against the RP36s). although RP30s are the preferred tires at the track i race at.

Losi123:
Sorry, I missed the question with my last post.

I would totally agree with the assesment of Catalyst - the RP36 is a tiny bit harder than the Sorex 32s, so when both are fresh the RP36s will be a touch slower but will last much much longer and be consistent throughout the wear life.

For initial grip, the Sorex 32s are in between the RP30 and RP36s, but grip has an inverse relationship to wear - the more grip, the shorter the wear life.

Fo Sho! I ran 2 test sets of the new 30s and traction was like the old ones but wear wasn't as good. They do seem to hold up for a good 5 heats or so (and it was warm).

Looking forward to Regionals. Just did a full chassis up rebuild due to a GTB fire last weekend, but with a little luck and some help from my friends - I had everything back on the track within a week and TQd in Stock yesterday.
