Well not a ton of cash up front. Over time I don't mind spending $30 here and $50 there

What bodies are you guys gonna run on yours for the TCS races. Since the outlawed the Legacy body. I'm stuck between the NSX, Skyline, or 360 Modena.

Those three are all good body choices. I like the Skyline and NSX are the two I have had great success with. Now on my TB-02 I use the MR4 since I have the short SS arms on my car.

Ain't that the truth. I'd forgotten how many decals went on a shell, and this last one I built (the black Mercedes AMG-CLK) had decals up to three times the size of the ones I put on my little F103 McLaren Mercedes, and thinner too. It takes a bit of patience for the finished product to look like the demo pics. Mine's decent, but it could have been a lot better. When I can afford the Impreza 2004 kit, I'll remember what a little patience can do for the end result.

P.S. Putting my McLaren Mercedes next to the rally AMG really gives you a lesson in just how small those F1 cars are in real life.

Oh yeah. Starting priceson eBay kits look around $125-140 (looking at the Impreza I want) plus whatever shipping rates you can get. Even $170 makes $250 look like a crooked used car salesman's deal

I'm running the new skyline in GT2 and probably an NSX (still have to pick it up) in GT1.

The B4 Legacy is illegal but the Impreza is legal.

So... If I wanted to get this body for TCS, I'd have to swap the shell out for another? Why? Is it too small? Too big (I doubt it)? too aerodynamic? I can't believe that a Tamiya stock kit wouldn't be legal.

the legacy does not come w/ a kit (as of now). It looks like a dedicated race body compared to the detailed ones tamiya makes..
