I found the problem. one of the screws for the front bumper/sway bar mount was too long and rubbed the diff gear. Doh.

You should use the small size tool when screwing like Cans does!!!!!!!!!

The size of my tool wasn't the problem! the 8mm screw was too long so I cut it down to 6mm.

BTW those beautiful new Legacy bodies we bought are NOT tcs legal

I know another guy that happened to...but I won't mention any names here.

...cough-cough...charlieo...cough-cough...

"I just can't get this thing freed up".

If it wasn't for other people screwing up and posting on it, I would have made WAY more mistakes than I already do.

So allow me to say "THANK YOU" for your mistake..you've probably saved someone else some hassles down the road.

Why are they not legal. It is a Tamiya body. They need to get their rules fixed.

Important announcement: In the spirit of keeping TCS Racing unique in terms of appearance to the public at large the Subaru Legacy B4 body (item 53727) is not legal for all GT classes

Those are still last year's rules. I think they may have edited one or two things, but it's still 99.9875% the same.

Just e-mail them or call Tamiya directly and ask them what's up. I'm pretty sure they have an 800 number that goes to "walk-in customer service/parts/TCS headquarters" (same people) at Aliso Viejo.

according to Fred M. last year, the Legacy body will not be legal. it kind of interferes with the spirit of TCS... otherwise it would be just like any other race, with cookie-cutter bodies...

Well if they want to keep that spirit then they shouldn't make a Tamiya Body that don't conform to their rules!!!!!!!!At least in GT1 you should be allowed to run it as that class is pretty much consisdered mod and anything goes.

Actually this years rules are the same. The main reason is to keep our series looking good. If you go to some races where the non tamiya bodies are run it looks like everyone is running the equivilent to a jelly bean with different stickers and bodies.

They had plenty of TT, MRS and CLK bodies out here. I just got three (new) "TAOB-cerified" MRS bodies...but you're right, all the fast guys out here ran Ferraris.

i think the main reason that body was made was so that they could have a race ready body, instead of everyone going elsewhere to get one. i also like that it is marked for the TRF/Evo body posts, for those of us who are lazy! i have a couple of them, and they seem to drive great... mainly like a Stratus, only better looking!

actually, i thought most of the top qualifiers at the Nats were NSX's... i remember Ling's chrome one, along with Steve W., and several more, if i remember right.

i liked the way the NSX felt better than the F360, at least on the TamiyaUSA track..

i got one of the Calsonic 350Z's to try, but havent painted it yet.
