No, I haven't, eventually I will, but I'm too lazy right now. I know the bearings have some fairly stiff grease in them too, or so it seems. I figured mabye somebody had a tip on shimming the diff gears or anything.

Arrow need tips

hi guys! just got my tb02 recently... this thing is built like a tank... any tips on how to make this kit lighter? what are the hop ups that u guys wud recommend? what TA0-4 parts can i use with this kit? and also are there a lot of TB evo3 parts that i can use with this kit too? and how far can a tb02 go in terms of it being competitive on the track?

The arms and hubs are TA04 parts. I think on Tamiyas site if you use their parts index you will be able to research this thoroughly. There are lots of Evo 3 parts that will work, a number of them are of course listed in the manual. Tamiya is coming out with some new stuff for the TB02 as well, you cna see some of it on the TB02R a few pages back. I've also been wondering howto get this car lighter, its pretty heavy.

i came from a race last sunday and one of the guys is running a bone stock TB-02 and it was fast he was beating guys were running TC4, YOKOMO SSG OR CGM, and PRO 4. i went to his pit and check it out all he did was cleaned the bearing really good to have a smooth spin other that it's bone stock.imagine you put all hop-ups that you get from EVO III.

TonyQ... let me know when you guys are practicing with your 02s. I got my car where I want it to be... crazy fast corner speed! I ran this setup with Gunther, current GT1 World Champ in Japan during one of our "play" sessions and I was surprised my 02 kept up with his 415! Can't wait to run this car at the regionals... maybe Newark! For fun of course...

First time driving the TB-02, we were very impressed, got mostly EVOIII stuff on it, just as nimble & forgiving as the EVO's i nailed the gearing first time, (hope im as lucky with a different motor 2nd time) nothing wrong with the tub chassis! we been running TC-3 Racer kits for 2 yr's, & the TB-02 has a lot more flex to it, cheesy looking & feeling, but it's what works on the track, (no show & all go!)
