Getting a bit off the track, eh?? The TB02 , like most all Tamiya cars, is just an extension of a very good chassis made to fit a larger user base in TCS events. Always a worthy effort. What say we concentrate on it's good points? The 414 can stand on it's own. Cheers !!

For those of you looking at buying the cars are you going to run TCS with them and want to keep them TCS legal or.......

I have a friend who is looking to mfg parts for the EVO and the TB02 and is trying to gauge interest. Any parts you would like to see An alum gearbox similar to others. etc.

Thanks,

Futureal I will refrain using mfg name so as not to make this advertising

OK that's my first question.

Now for #2.

Is it possible to put the stock tub chassis of the TB02 under the Evo3? (for TCS races)

does the TB02 use standard spur gears (RRP, trinity, kimbrough, etc.) or tamiya specific gears, much like the TB01 series, where the kit includes a choice of 3 spur gears?

well, never mind my last question

i just saw a TB02 kit in our lhs and almost made the impulse purchase however, spares will follow after about a month so i think ill wait first. also, i prefer the skyline body and our lhs only has 1 kit with the clk body.

http://www.tamiya.com/english/produc...gt-r/index.htm

anyway, have you guys raced your TB02's yet? which parts are potential weak points? i was looking through the plastic parts and arm mounts seem to be made of regular plastic, not the hard material as the 414 arms. the chassis also seems to be a bit heavy. do you guys know what TA04, 414, or evo3 parts will fit? will the universals and aluminum arm mounts from the 3 cars fit the TB02? thanks for any info

Marvi, one of our locals brought one in from R10 and the car is great, quality, fit, etc. As far as parts transfer just about all of the prts transfer the motor mount definately does not. The local also bought the blue conversion kit to get the toe blocks and 1-way.

We ran the car box stock first off and it was great but understeered. After the day was over the main changes to the car were the usual oil and link position, other than that it was great. Pinion spur is not an issue you can definately get lower than the kit 5.70

Hey guys, let me chime in here and to say the TB-02 looks really cool, plus the hop-ops that are coming along will make this car the GT2 threat of the year. The CLK-DTM Vodafone livery car has all pre-cut decals like that of last year's CLK-DTM car. Good stuff!
