If it stays, I have no choice; But if it does stay, then the Torque rods need to be legalized, along with the M03 front one way too. it's the same arguement for those as the SS arms.

Izzy has a point and I think he understands what we're saying too. Izzy, remember not to take this personally. No one is accusing you of anything. You're obviously an experienced driver who just wants to experiment. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.
The problem here is that if Fred starts making alot of allowances, the true and original intent of TCS will be lost !! I personally don't want TCS to become just like "normal" racing. To much emphasis is placed on who can afford the newest, most equipment and not on driving ability. TCS probably isn't perfect but it serves a purpose.
Fred's job isn't easy but it will become alot harder if he has to keep making judgement calls for every loophole that us "creative" drivers could come up with. Doesn't it make much more sense to try and stay within the rules as there written ?? Alot less confusion, fewer arguments and more concentration on having fun rather than somebody yellin at you because of some "loophole" mod. Is a loophole mod like yours REALLY worth screwing with the system over ???? And more importantly.....where will it end??? I also agree that we should be talking to Fred and getting his view point. I don't know him but I'll e-mail or call him.

Anyway, in any situation that has Laws or Rules you will always find loopholes. That's why we have the Law benders, Lawyers, Judges etc...In our case the Judge is Fred. The law bender is me and the wanna be lawyers are you guys.
I still think it is a situation where both sides have points. That's why we need a Judge to make the decision, and at the moment the Judge said yes.
You being the lawyers can present the case and if the Judge changes his mind, then it shall be and I have no problem with that. But if it stays, I hope you can also let it be and move on. Gary, can you move on?
That is the very reason that Tamiya put in rule #17 about loopholes.

17. If a driver finds a loophole within the rules, that exploitation will be deemed illegal.

As I quote from you "Anyway, in any situation that has Laws or Rules you will always find loopholes".

I can care less if they alow the ss arms or the other Hop ups that work. I do care about keeping the TCS fun, fair for all and competitve. That is why the integrety of the rules need to be maintained. To keep the politics out and the fun in. As stated before in the thread not all of us have Fred at our local tracks to tell us if any modification made to our car is legal or not. (that is the keeping it fair part, not giving those who drive at the Tamiya track the unfair advantage).

I really doubt any of these modifications will make a car that much better the the next. The car still needs to be driven by a driver and that still is ultimately the difference between winning and losing.

I think we all need to give this argument a rest and get back to the basic rules, Only using the hop ups intended for that particular car.

Finally don't forget about rule 12.

12. Any modification not called out specifically in these rules is not legal.

Amen to that Larry. That's been my hole point all along. If you allow the SS arms, what's next? A saddle pack F103 chassis?

Actually the saddle pack for the F103 is a mute point. Sadly the F103 platform was killed for TCS and I finally had mine set up the way I wanted it.

Fred needs to make a decision, allow them and amend the rules to reflect this or follow the rules as they are currently written and disallow them

I think we should vote on a spokesman !! I say that anybody who may have recently placed reasonably well at a Championship race should be the guy to contact Fred !!
