Default avid diff lock ???

hey all

im new to the forum my names Shan from Australia ive got a few stupid questions for ya

ive got a robitronics avid and im setting it up as a drifter and i want to know if there is an option to buy a diff lock kit or do i have to distroy the diff buy gluing it solid or drilling a screw through it??

the other question is...

is the trf 415 diffs the same style as the avid, do they fit and are they cheaper??
ive been quoted around the $150 mark for avid diffs in my area

cheers

Simple solution is to take out teh balls from the diff and reasemble tightening it up.
When you need the diff action again just rebuild with balls and a new pulley.

Or you could replace the diff plates with some stiff cardboard, it may still slip a little bit but it wont harm the diff balls much.
