If you want to charge a 4000mah on 8000mAh (2C) with the ICE i think you have to put 50% charge limit and not 100%.Actually for a 5200mah pack you should put 65% charge limit.Correct me if im wrong.

But the wall of weight is indeed a bit... too much... At least this give me a perfect left-right balance right at 1503g
So you added 270 gr more? WOW!!

255gr iron weight (not using lead, save the planet)

edit: I do need to recheck it since I think the scale at track probably mis-cal already, as it should need not so many (or did my car really so under-weight?)

You can leave it set it to 8000mah @ 100% and it will be fine. The charger watches the voltage, not the capacity when it charges. You could set the 50% as a safety in the freak event that the charger didn't acknowledge the battery voltage and just kept charging at WOT. That could be bad....

I'd like to know how much time someone gain by charging on 2C on cc/cv lipo charging mode.I assume you arrive to the cv point earlier and from that point it takes the same time until full charge 8,4v.

You save about 25 minutes charging at 2C on a discharged pack.

You need to get one of our packs and add it to your signature that would make your collection of Lipos more complete.

for 60bux, this thing is a good stuff. only slight massage to the gussets in a tt01 chassis and it fits like a glove complete w/room to tape a lead bar on the batt strap for balance. now i can consider spec car done. if i keep runnin 2wd mod, i will get another 1 to leave in it, more than enuff batt there. performed well last wk in the CR. only needing about 900mah for 5min heat WOW!!!

Thumbs up

Hi Danny

I recently purchased 2 5200 SMC lipo's for my Mod TC. Just wanted to let you know that they are great so far...no complaints. Great power and awesome runtime.

How often should I balance them, I have the Thunder power 610C with built in balancer and how close should the cells be when balanced.

Thanks for your time

Doug

Glad to hear you like our 24C packs. The response has been great on these packs so far.

Balance charging will not hurt the pack so if you have a built in balancer you can balance charge everytime. The 2 cells should be at the same voltage when the charge is finished.

Sorry I missed this post. The glue normally used was changed on the first shipment and the new glue didn't work as well. You can apply a little bit of CA on the seams of the case and press them together. I raced some 5200s this past week and the cases stayed together without regluing.
