I agree with this. I ran my 235 I-Fource with 10.5 and lipo. Fast lap of 16.4 1/10 nitro fast lap of 15.3. Temp was very hot outside, so backed the timing off the Tekin. Need to put a fan or two on the motor before I run this again.

Would have liked to run a 3.5 - 6.5 and see, as the car could have used more speed on a 200' straight.

I rather like the Euro formula (at least they way they do it in the UK) I think that if GT in the US took on something like what they run (Id have to look it up to be sure what they run because I cant remember off the top of my head) that would actually help growth in a major way and maybe we could see some pan car events within a few years

Hard to beat the Protoform Sophia GT if you are talking about a 200mm width car.

So with the change at the IIC to 1S/13.5 (and a few more companies coming out with that variety of battery) you think that woudl be a better formula for World GT as opposed to 4C/13.5 or you guys think that maybe both could coexist?

Haha I gotcha Bill, I was sayin that with IIC going with the 1S how soon would it trickle down to the club level and if maybe we finally have a formula that everyone can agree on and not have 15 different battery/motor formulas and have something although not spec but at least standardized akin to VTA and RCGT on the touring side

we follow the wgt spec rules. I think most of the people i have talked to that run wgt at their track is following those rules as well. the only thing I have seen that do not follow the current revision of the rule is that as clubs transition to lipo, you will have 4cell and 1s running together. but they maintain the motor rule of 13.5 and lilac tires

I'm going 13.5 1S too. The 21.5 will go back to one of my TA Chassis. I'm waiting on one of the fabled ESCs with the voltage booster built in. I might have a line on one of the off shore boosters locally until the ESCs start showing up. I'm hoping this class can have some staying power in the future. We'll see.

Well I am hating the 1s lipos. It kind of sucks for us Gen X 10 guys that can run the lipo stick down the middle. At this time I am pushing for a 2 cell lipo class at our track and have been given the a ok. Now to see if anyone will run this configuration, if not I may have to bite the bullet and run 1s config.

agreed,
1s killed this car for me

I don't want to have to buy more/different batteries for the supposed inexpensive class

I am moving on to F1 They had 12 guys last weekend at a track near me
