Default If I change SPUR brands, will they fit my TC?

This may sound silly but I come from an offroad background where one cannot always use another brand of spur on the same truck, (sometimes the shape of the slipper pads will not allow to use another brand).

But what about touring cars? I have an HPI sprint 2 sport (has no slipper) and wish to try other spurs. The new spurs are from a japanese brand "Kawada"; From the pictures they do look pretty similar to the HPI ones (kind of the same holes for the screws holding it in place, not sure if the holes are the same size though).

So the basic question is, are all spurs the same in TC?

please enlighten me

TC spurs are not generally car-specific in the way off-road gears can be - HOWEVER not every spur will fit every car, it comes down to the hole pattern and which holes which cars use.

Holes themselves are at standard sizes though, so if the number of holes is the same the spur should fit.

well the spur looks pretty similar to the original. I'll give it a try, hopefully it'll fit... too bad there's no local hobby shop here so I have to figure it out from a bunch of internet pictures!
thanks
