I will grab as many photos as I can. I have a new pro-level digital camera on order but, sadly, it didn't make it in time for the show. I will have to rely on my older one (still a capable camera, but not as good for close-up and odd lighting photos).

I would expect everything to show up online sometime late tomorrow night.

Some early news:

- Official word from Reedy: "The Reedy Cobalt does not exist and never did"

- I have pictures of the XRay Micro and 1/12th-scale TCs

- I have pictures and a short video of the Mini XT

- I have pictures of the new Schumacher TC

And some other interesting news and notes. I will be updating the website in a few hours with the info. I have to take care of some business and whatnot between now and then.

Regarding the Cobalt: the two Reedy reps I spoke to said that they have not tested a new stock motor since the MVP. I'm not going to start a "Big Jim war" here like in so many other places, although to sum up their statements, it went along the lines of "don't believe what you read in that forum." Keep in mind that was a quote from Reedy's booth, not from me -- I don't want to start a forum war either.

Regarding the Mini XXXT: Yes, I drove it. That thing rocks. Point me to the ordering desk and sign me up. If you thought driving a Micro RS4 was fun, you ain't seen nothing yet. Mark my words: this truck will be the hottest R/C item this Christmas.

The handling is good, pretty twitchy on the carpet we drove it on, but keep in mind that the kit ships with springs but no filled shocks (no damping). Losi will (duh) offer an upgrade kit with oil-filled shocks that should solve the suspension problem -- not that it was much of a problem.

Bill Jeric had a Mini XXXT rigged up with a lithium polymer battery pack, and it could pull full wheelies down the straightaway and could run 40-45 minutes at full power. He informed us that Losi would be offering the pack for sale at some point (awesome news, says I).

I really can't explain how outright cool this little truck is. Order it now!

I don't recall the motor size, though I want to say it's the same as the Micro motors from HPI and others. Don't quote me on that!

It is available in RTR form only and should run about $150.

Here are two interesting clips:

Losi Mini XXX-T: http://www.rctech.net/events/chicago...i-minixxxt.mov

Pro-Line Spinning Wheels: http://www.rctech.net/events/chicago...-wheelspin.mov

Please only download the files once (right-click and choose "Save Target As...") to preserve my oh-so-valuable bandwidth. Thanks!

Sadly, the pics themselves are not ready yet and I am beat, so I'm going to grab a bit of sleep and get back to work on this tomorrow. Sorry for the delays. Trying to push the redesign through the site and get this done as well has been a bit of a crazy undertaking.
