What balancer* do u guys suggest getting. I use a 989 superbrain MRC, to charge. I havent balanced my packs ever.. Still perfect.

My question is: should charger the pack after every run?
Does it work ok? Last I read orion didnt recommend using mrc chargers on their batteries. As a matter of fact it said that in the paperwork that came with the orion packs.

Could somebody confirm if a LRP TC spec is included LIPO cutoff to prevent damage of battery?
Or didn't exist so i have just to buy auto cutoff device, like the Novak ones?

Best regards
Yes mate, the lrp has the lipo cutoff function.
You can also disable it if you are running nimh.
All the best

The 989 works fine with orion batts. The older MRC chargers were crap, but the 989 is alot better, and doesnt have the problems that the old ones did

I have used my MRC 989 since it came out, havent blown a lipo yet, and I have many many lipos around

I own a 989 as well and I'm planning on getting team orion lipos..do I need to buy a balancer? Im looking at equinox or astro flight blinky..will these work with team orion and the 989?I'm from the Philippines and I'm pretty much limited to ordering from tower..Thanks in advance.

If you are ordering from Tower, this balancer works great with Orion Lipos

It works for both charging and discharging (it only discharges the cells until the voltage is equalized between them).
