Default #'s on Trinity Monster Metals

Hi everyone, while not being out for long, what is the best #'s you have seen on these new cells?

It seems like trinity is doing the right thing and putting more accurate numbers on the cells

Default EPIC GP numbers

Besercoe,

Best I've seen is 420, 1.185 volts at 30amps. I think you know what packs they are... I sing their priases all the time!

Cheers,
ScottyP

ScottyP - i know what packs, but i have also seen those numbers on local packs, which we all know are not true.

You cna only compare like with like, isnt there anyone out there who has bought or seen the ugly zebra epic cells, and if so what numbers have you seen?

Default EPIC GP numbers

Besercoe,

I just call it as I see it.... of course you can only compare like with like.

Any tool can backyard match a set of cell at 20 amps and come up with 1.2volts +.

I believe the company in question (Kinetix for anyone wondering) uses industry standard CE Turbomatchers @ 30 amps.

I saw some packs at my LHS. Nothing different or special. Here is the deal.

A distributor buys directly from GP. GP will hand pick a small percentage of your order and in turn charge quite a bit more. What happens is: When your case or cases arrive there is supposed to be "more good" cells than before. So the 1.17 and 1.18 batteries will be more common. It is the EXACT SAME cell. Only difference is when buying a case you're "probably" going to have "more good" cells.

The Epic cells I saw were 1.16 and 1.17 400+. I am not sure how accurate Trinity's numbers are. I do not run their batteries. My personal recommendation is go with Fukuyama Racing. Great batteries and a great group of guys.

My $.02.

i'll vouch for the numbers on my "local" GP packs, matcher settings are as per epic / trinity / SMC units. All my local Fantom packs are matched at 30amps on CE's.

I just ordered some cells form Kinetix, they are all 1.175 and up with 400+ run time. They are the new EPIC cells. All of Kinetix's cells are done on CE Turbomatchers at 30 amps as stated by ScottyP.
