...try to test and sauce the track as NEEDED too...too often I've seen tracks think they need TWICE as much soda or syrup as they really do...and I've seen that make car NOT work (too much Steering caused the cars to be loose even w/ spray)

Things are headed towards a return of the SWT Series, but for
2017 the focus will be on the Encino Velodrome (and dirt oval racing)

SW right on excess spraying.

Plan for 1 bottle for every 50~75' of run line. I also do not apply all my soda at once. I do the corners first then fade the straights and try to reserve one or two bottle for touchups shoud one area be problematic.

We have been trying different compounds to on our dragstrip. VHT is just too expensive to spray ever race. We have noticed the bee problem on occasion with the sodas. We tried a mixture of 4 liters of soda with 16oz of corn syrup mixed in. That worked good for a little while then traction suddenly went away.
Maybe the sun caused that we are not for sure.
We are going to try something Saturday that another track uses. Spray the track well with sugar water (25lbs of sugar/16gal water) then after it dries very lightly mist it with VHT. He said that he has used less than 1 gallon of VHT for the last 3 races. VHT was cut 50/50 with Coleman fuel.Last time we raced we used about 3 gallons of VHT.

Use methanol. VHT is alcohol based.

Yeah we used methanol when we cut ours but that's what they cut theirs with.

Coleman fuel is naphtha.

I only know that because we use VHT at one of our indoor concrete surface tracks and I had to call them to discuss cleaning it up.

I want to correct my post from earlier. The sugar mix is 5lbs/16 gallons of water.
We tried our new method today. We sprayed 16 gallons of sugar/water then used 1 gallon of VHT per lane. We had some TFE dragsters running high 1.5's today with little tire spin.
