Default How much do you pay to race?

I'm wondering how much the economy is affecting how much it costs to race?

What do you pay to race at your regular club track?

Is your track in a city/larger suburb or a much less populated area?

Let me also ask what geographic place you are in too. I'm expecting a big urban area will charge more than some place less populated. I'll edit my first post.

I've never had to pay more than 15 dollars. Our group has a raffle at the end of the event, so half the money goes to some lucky driver. That's an easy 50-100 dollars.

We do most of our racing in parking lots, so we get a lot of on lookers, and rubber-neckers.

At my local track it is $15 for under 18 and $25 for adults. That is what it costs to have racing on Long Island... anyway, the shops prices are lower than on the internet.

For my traveling series, I charge $25.00 first class & $15.00 per additional.

From that I pay to RENT the track facility we're at ($250 - $400 per day) plus all the travel expenses.

For our local club racing I charge $20.00 (unlimited classes) - this is at a local high school, and it runs me around $180 - $220 a day to rent the track, outhouse and other expenses.

We normally have 10-15 racers locally.

The out of town racing I go to charges - 12 first class and 8 additional...

Things are headed towards a return of the SWT Series, but for
2017 the focus will be on the Encino Velodrome (and dirt oval racing)
