Shouldn't be a drama, the esc runs a 12t motor without getting warm, and a 17.5 would pull less amps

The temp cut off on the non sensored is only for the esc. The motor has to be monitored separately.

Spot on and thats a huge difference between sensorless and sensored systems. A sensored system the esc will monitor motor temps and activate a thermal shut down to protect the motor if it's to hot even if the esc is cold

A sensorless system will keep pushing current to the motor as long as the esc is cool, it'll let the motor overheat.

Note! RC-Market advertises that the 60A combo with a 5 or 6 turn motor has temperature monitoring on the motor, being a SENSORLESS system, this is highly unlikely and he has not answered my queries about this, the only response we seem to get from him is to promote that he has the items. To advertise that these monitor motor temp is IMO DISHONEST AND MISLEADING!

Well just took it for another run in the Slash, 14 minutes on the 7 cell pack again about 5 minutes of hard bashing.

Motor came off at 180.1, Ambient was 69 ESC and Battery cool again.

Geared 23/86 this time.

Going to try 15/86 next, but am starting to think the motors are pretty rubbishy and run very hot. The ESC is pretty good value but at this point I'd rate the ESC 9/10 (-1 for switch) and the motor 3/10 it's punchy, good price, but runs hot and unreliable on that regard, certainly can't pull a stadium truck style car around without heating up and this is all with the ESC to have the lowest load on it (lowest timing etc). On a Summers Day (100 Ambient) it'd no doubt burn up within 5 minutes at either gear ratios. Seems to run ok in a TC or a Mini but in a truck which weighs in at 2.3kg (as opposed to a 1.5kg TC) it's out of its limits

Temps are in farenheight

Will try a 15t anyway, failing that I'll jump the bastard into a swimming pool at WOT and we'll test this "waterproof" claim, but in my mind it's a throw-away motor the ESC well, we'll throw a 9t at it.

need a couple of questions answered. Firts can the ezrun 60A run a Novak 10.5. Next question. Right now I am using a Novak GT7 with a Komodo 19T brushed motor. Is this better than the ezrun system for speed and ease of use.

Then why do they have 10,000mah lipos?

And enduros? Long mains??

I personally see nothing wrong with running it unless it damages it

I have had a Mamba Max 5700 in a Rustler and it never topped 155

180 is a concern/

Gearing for the slash will be completely different from the e-maxx.

The set-up I'm using isn't even recomended, I just wanted low cost, low maintenance, long runtime, and the ability to run single batts.

12/68 has been the best overall, but speed at that ratio is slightly less than the stock twin motors, but thats also only 7.4 volts. 15/68 was fine and heat still wasn't the issue, runtime was. 10/68 was the ratio that broke my runtime record with both motor and esc cool to the touch, however top speed was only in the high teens.

Cant fit in a 2wd offroad with bashing if you want the fan to last longer than one run.......and the biggest heat sink that you could fit in there wont help

Hello, everybody!

We are just back from Beijing model exposition. Sorry for not answering the threads in time becuase for about 20 days we couldn't visit the forum directly from China mainland, so we had to use a web proxy which is too too too slow and always failed to open the webpages.

Now it seems better because we can visit the forum directly although it is still not very fast, but at least we can browse the web. We will answer the questions above in the following days.

If possible, please send the questions to the mail address [email protected], we will check this mail box in each working day. Thanks!
