Fake or genuine Hobbywing?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/eZRun-Combo-...item2564c132e3

http://www.ebay.com/itm/eZRun-Combo-...item2eb2952f54

How do we tell or know?

If all ezruns go away on ebay, then supply will be limited and we will be at the hands of greedy local shops....
The reason we use them is because they are cheap and level the playing field!

Personally i don't care if it's fake or not, as long as it's preformance is same as the real deal...

You should care.. my fake failed after a few runs (rev failed)
Friends fake never worked properly

You cant guarantee the pic on those ebay links is what the will send you. Your fake may not match the photo.
Have a look though the negative feedbacks to see if anyone has complained of fakes.

Another option is these. I have one. Its very good.

Default hi new to electric...

read most of the post and couldnt find anything on here pertaining to my issue,

just purchased a used car off someone with the 9t 4300kv 35a pro car system set and it has some fan on top of it. not sure if that matters but the car didnt come with any battery or charger, so i am wondering what would the best, price not an issue battery to achieve max power, speed and runtime.

also what would be a good lower priced battery to serve as a back up and would there be a charge suitable for both?

also how does it work the more volt the higher kv? eg 7.2 volt = ?
am i able to use the highest recommended voltage with the max kv ? kv basically equals more run time/capacity/speed?

thank you guys.

For good LiPo batteries, go on Hobbyking and buy a 2S LiPo with a 20C discharge rate with about 3000-4000 mah for some long runtimes. They are about 20-30$ and very good.

The more Mah=more run time
The more volts=more power

The motor kv signifies the RPM. T

The more kv= the more speed and less torque.
The less kv= more torque and lower speeds.

It usually depends of gearing also.

Default ezrun 2700kv 1/8 combo with 120amp esc

hi guys,

has any one had any experience with the 1/8 2700kv - 120amp esc combo ?? have fitted one in a Revo 3.3 (converted with tekno kit) and i have a 2nd kit for a rc8-t (Tekno v4 kit upgraade)

the problem i have is that it runs for a while, then drops power (looses all speed) like it has hit over temp protection etc, which it hasn't as the esc / motor are stone cold... i have read that it may need a firmware upgrade as this may be causing the problem...

Can any one elaborate how to do a firware upgrade with this combo with just the programming card that comes with the kit?? Or if any one can shed more light on the problem.. Gearing all is fine etc...

cheers!!!!!

I can't help you out with the power loss issue, but I can tell you that you CAN NOT update the firmware on the ESC with field programming card. You have to purchase the 2-in-1 Advanced Program Box in order to connect the ESC to your computer.

http://www.hobbypartz.com/hobbywing-...ogram-box.html

It appears as though HobbyPartz is still out of stock on this. If you don't mind waiting, you can order the Turnigy unit from Hobbyking. They are the exact same unit.

What batteries are your running? Maybe you did not set the right LVC amount thus the ESC always cuts off.

I have the SC8 combo that you are talking about. I have used it in an Ofna LX-1e and I now have it it a Nexx 8. I use 2X 2s 5000 Blue packs run at 4s. I have had none of the problems that you have talked about. It screams. Also runtime is pretty good. In a 5 min heat I will only use 1200 - 1500mAh. Maybe try adjusting some of the settings in the esc setup.

Default ESC cut

Hi, i recentlly change to a xerun 8.5t motor with ezrun 60a esc. i,m having this problem which my esc got cut after a few minutes run.
My car is tt01 gearing 25 55. timing set to 5 and punch set to 6. esc run till cut and motor is hot too but can be touch.

I had my exrun fan replace with a yeah racing high speed fan. but fan is connect directly to the receiver. the old one i had cut away..

I had jus change my pinon from 55 to 58. able to achieve slight longer run time. But with my previous gearing of 25 55 on a 10.5t with max timing and punch, i don't have this problem and able to run till my lipo flat at 7.5v...

Anyone have recommendation? whether to gear up or down.. thought of changing my pinon to 28 and try as my ESC is hot..

I know this is an old post, but, thinking of getting a ezrun combo for my HPI Cup racer. Thoughts? Not sure about racing it, maybe, maybe not.
